Hi,
I'm Amber

I'm a portrait photographer
based in Hillsboro, Oregon
I just turned 40, my husband and I have been together for 16 years and we have two sweet pups.
I love karaoke, board games, decorating
and I love photography.
I got my first camera when I was 8 years old.
I cannot remember a time in my life where I wasn't taking pictures.
When I was 12 years old,
I would rearrange furniture in my house
to set up a shot and dress up my little sister
and take her portraits
Is that normal? lol
I was a preschool teacher in my 20's and I loved taking photos of the children in my classroom,
The parents loved the photos.
Which lead me to start considering
photography as a career.
I started my own business 4 years,
but I started my photography career
in my late 20's, working at a
Lifetouch Studio in Clackamas.
It was fun. It was hectic. I learned so much!
There, you had 10 minutes to not only do a photoshoot, but to make someone feel comfortable very quickly.
And that's something I hear from my clients.
I make you feel comfortable.
I love that. Thank you for that.
I think that comes from the fact that I am
down to earth, silly and warm.
I live in a plus size body,
and I have had my own journey in getting to a place where I love myself and feel confident.
And I do!
I really want that for you.
I want you to know how beautiful / handsome you are! I want you to feel comfortable in your skin and in front of the camera.

Let's take a moment to talk about the blonde girl in the wheat field.
You know the one.
If you are looking for photographers online, you will quickly see that almost everyone has pictures of a blonde girl in a wheat field.
Look, I have taken those photos.
Nothing against the blondes in the fields. They are beautiful!
But what is most important to me, is that when you look on my website, you see YOU.
That there is someone on here that reminds you or yourself.
I celebrate all bodies.
No matter your size, age, gender, skin color, mobility, etc.
You are JUST as important as the blonde girl in the wheat field.
Diversity is gorgeous.
Let's talk style!
A majority of photographers have a certain tone to their photos that is their personal style aesthetic.
But for me, I love bright colors and subtle colors, happy pictures and moody pictures.
I enjoy traditional style as much as I like taking artistic photos.
Family Photos and Model Portfolios
I love it all.
I don't want to be put in a style box.
There's too much fun to be had!
I'm fluid.
Let me know what style you are looking for and that's what we will do.
I will adjust our session to make sure we are capturing YOU.
I look forward to working together.
Let's chat!
